Mrs. Alice Martinez
Mrs. Martinez is in her twelfth year in education and her eleventh at Mater Lakes Academy. Mrs. Martinez is in her fourth year overseeing the Finance, and first year as an Administrative Assistant.
Prior to being an Assistant Administrator, she worked as the school's Business Manager for three years and was the Director of Student Activities for seven years before that. She graduated from Florida International University with both her BS in Sports Management and her MS in Park and Recreational Management, and most recently graduated with her MS in Educational Leadership from St. Thomas University in January 2016. Mrs. Martinez is certified in Business 6-12, Marketing 6-12, and Elementary Education K -6.
Prior to becoming a teacher Mrs. Martinez worked with the, then, Florida Marlins for three years as their Marketing Coordinator and for two years as a member of their promotion and events team. She was a part of the developing, coordinating, and implementation of marketing, sales, and promotion efforts of the Florida Marlins; such as, Marlins Fan Fest, Marlins Caravan, promotional nights at the stadium, and community events. Mrs. Martinez has also freelanced in marketing and event planning for private organizations such as the annual Evening of Giving at Dadeland Mall.
Mrs. Martinez is currently the school's Assistant Administrator, as well as the EESAC Chairperson. Her office is located in the main office.
