AP Spanish Per. 6 (Period 6)

Location: 513
Code: F 71

AP Spanish Language is intended for students who wish to develop proficiency and integrate their language skills, using materials and sources. Students who enroll should already have a basic knowledge of the language and cultures of Spanish-speaking peoples and should have attained a reasonably proficiency in using the language. The course should help prepare students to demonstrate their level of Spanish across three communicate modes( interpersonal[interactive communication], interpretive[receptive communication], and presentation[productive communication]. The course is meant to be comparable to third year(fifth or sixth semester) college and university courses that focus on speaking and writing in the target language at an advanced level. Course content reflect a wide variety of academic and cultural topics(the arts, history, current events, literature, culture, sport, etc.).
The AP Spanish Language Exam measures the students' ability to write and speak with ease in correct and idiomatic Spanish in Interpersonal and presentation modes.
The exam consists of two sections. Section I, a multiple-choice section, test listening and reading comprehension in the Interpretive mode. Section II, a free-response section, test the productive skills of speaking and writing, including command of standard Spanish grammar.
