M/J Intensive Mathematics – Grade 7 (Period 5)

The Grade 7 intensive math course is designed to meet the needs of individual students with curricula tailored by the teacher; taking into account the instructional level of the students.Throughout the course, the selected standards appropriate for developing Grade 7 level skills in four critical areas: (1) developing understanding of and applying proportional relationships; (2) developing understanding of operations with rational numbers and working with expressions and linear equations; (3) solving problems involving scale drawings and geometric constructions of two- and three-dimensional shapes (4) drawing inferences about populations based on samples.

This course will not be used in place of a core mathematics course but is intended to provide intervention for students who require extra mathematics instruction.
